To understand and describe fundamental matter structures and their interactions at low energies. This includes hadrons, mesons, atomic nuclei, atoms, molecules, photons, and the interactions between them and external fields. The experimental research conducted within the department is focused on quantum optics, applied optics and nuclear structure.
RESEARCH LINES:
Quantum models of many-body systems based on symmetries
Nonlinear and quantum Optics, quantum information.
Applied optics, including optical tweezers and cavitation.
