The Institute of Nuclear Sciences (ICN-UNAM) offers various ways, so you can be part of its community. This can be made through research stays, social service (work placement), undergraduate thesis, master’s thesis, PhD thesis, as well as postdoctoral fellowships with the researchers of our academic staff, in topics ranging from chemistry, physics, and astronomy, to electronics and science communication.
Depending on your area of interest, we recommend you check the full catalog of researchers and academic technicians on this website, so you can contact them and asked them about their different lines of research.

  • Social service (Work placement): If you are an undergraduate student at UNAM, the entity in charge of validating your social service is the DGOAE. You can go to their website and their office within your School to issues related to the registration and liberation procedure of your service. Here you can consult the list of social service programs that are officially registered by the ICN on the DGOAE. Any of our researchers or academic technicians that decide to can accept students, so they can make their social service.
If you are an undergraduate student external to the UNAM, the requirements are just those imposed by your university, thus any consultation related to procedures must be done there.
  • Thesis bank: (Under construction)
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Given the wide diversity of lines of research developed within the Institute of Nuclear Sciences, several of our researchers and technicians actively participate by teaching courses and advising students of different undergraduate programs offered by UNAM, among which stand out:
School of Sciences-UNAM: Physics, Biomedical Physics, Earth Sciences, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Sciences.
School of Chemistry-UNAM: Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Biological Chemistry, Materials Chemistry.
