CORRECTION: In the Research Paper, “Biosignatures from Earth-Like Planets Around M Dwarfs” by A. Segura et al. in Volume 5, Number 6, 2005, pp. 706–725, the name of one of the stars is wrong. The erratum does not change any of the conclusions in the paper. The authors are grateful to Dr. Mihalis Mathioudakis for pointing out to them that GJ643C (also called GJ644AB, V1054 Oph, and Wolf 630) has activity similar to that of AD Leo and is a binary companion of GJ643. The second active star described in the paper was in fact GJ643C and not GJ643, which is a star of low activity (Doyle et al., 1994, Astron. Astrophys. 285, 233–240). There are no IUE spectra for GJ643, only for GJ644AB.
The authors apologize for the error.
