The General Boundary Formulation of Quantum Field Theory
| The seminar provides an introduction to the general boundary formulation (GBF) and its relevance for the problem of quantum gravity. The GBF can be viewed as an extension of standard quantum field theory. I give an overview of the main basic structures of the GBF, in particular the notions of state space, amplitude and probability interpretation. I also report on some recent results obtained within the GBF, and mention some of the lines for future research. |
