Bohmian Mechanics on Shape Space

Pedro Naranjo (Universidad de Burgos)

Shape Dynamics is a new approach to physics whose goal is to get rid of all absolute structures. Its fundamental tenet is relationalism, whereby all objective information about a physical system can only be attained through the ratios of quantities. In this talk we shall focus on an ongoing research project seeking to frame quantum physics in relational terms. To this end, we will consider Bohmian mechanics as the underlying theory, since we believe it is better suited to analysing the Universe as a whole than standard quantum mechanics. In order to get a glimpse, we shall discuss two models: Newtonian $N$-body system and Bianchi IX cosmology.
