Quantum field theory with dynamical boundary conditions and the Casimir effect

RESUMEN: We discuss the quantisation of a Klein-Gordon field in a region with boundary with dynamical boundary conditions, which are prescribed by a boundary field equation. We then appropriately define the local energy of the field, which allows us to study the Casimir effect in this model.
